I haven’t actually listed it yet as I haven’t taken any proper photos of it.

My Mustang scored 120
101-150 points: Is that an E39 M5 in your pocket? Or do you have an erection?

270 for the Montego.
Though it’s mainly due to bondo, what an odd thing to get bonuses for...
Anyhow, I should get bonus for it being a pilarless 2 door hardtop. B pillars are for bitches.

1993 BMW 525i- 140 points
1965 Dodge Dart- 170 points
2000 Saab wagon- 60 (cupholders man)
![]() 09/30/2015 at 15:54 |

If I drop the Bondo patches to 10 I get 260. If I am honest about Bondo which is like 1/2 the car its over 1000. I’m still finding bondo in strange places.
Car 1964 Chevelle Malibu 4door.
![]() 09/30/2015 at 15:56 |

Yeah with a legit over 100 bondo patches you get a lot of points.

150 for my daily driver (‘00 Peugeot 406 coupe)
135 for my ‘88 Peugeot 205 GTI (way too low imho)
95
for my ‘97 Peugeot 306 convertible.
My recently sold ‘90 BX scored 125 (-20 for European diesel, +50 for hydropneumatic suspension), and my other recently sold ‘89 BMW E30 Touring scored 125 .
Not having bondo on my cars really hurts the scores.

I don’t like that they do not have a 6 door option. I would do the suburban but I have to put it at 5 doors. So it only get 175 points.

And the most painful the 2014 Fiesta, is -110 points.

-262 for my caravan :O. That poll maker knows nothing. It outruns most pickup trucks, hauls like a truck and so much torque steer and comfy. :) +9000 for me.
Still -122 if I put a rear mounted V12 and manual transmission in my caravan. :(
Which I want to do one day :D

This contest is rigged. An E46 M3 (convertible) with an SMG gearbox ripped out and replaced with a 6spd only gets 115 points, while the car my grandma went to church in (nearly identical the blue one above) with about .09HP per pound gets a 170.
I thought the idea of a jalopcar was one you enjoyed driving non-ironically, no? Clearly this algorithm was designed by someone proud to have worked at Oldsmobile.
BTW, if you drive an honest ‘vert (not one of these hard-top perversions) in the NorthEast, you should get an extra hundred points for the 8 months of suffering for the 24 days warm enough to enjoy the open top)

lol, I remember this.
My E36 M3 is at 130....
Yet my E38 740i is at 140

401 for the Ranchero if I’m not being creative with interpreting the questions. 416 if I manually correct the throttle bodies for 8. V8, longitudinal, 8TB, NA, Caminoized (not sure if this is supposed to be “after factory”, if so, then I’ll take “doors welded shut” because they partly are), unibody (-20pts), RWD, mid-engine (because IT IS - otherwise count me 10 pts less), manual on the tree, mixed origin, 161-270HP, 51-60, 1 ashtray. If I get to count servo-electric suspension for “hydropneumatic”, that’s another 5o pts. If I get to claim “hilarious amounts of body repair, 1/location” as “bondo patches”, that’s another hundred points worth, easy.

M3 got 125 points, not too bad. Though really it should be 135 because the two cup holders I have are totally useless.

No, it's not an E39 M5, it's a 2004 Cadillac DeVille.

I do feel as though a transverse layout deserves more points if it's a V8 though, just for the weird.

-20 points for having a European diesel? I thought that pre-dieselgate jalopnik was all about brown diesel wagons.... I doubt that the opinion/test changed so quickly
